The personal data that we collect here at The Country Florist consists mainly of customers names, addresses and contact details and any other information necessary for us to be of service to our customers, including the necessary financial information required to maintain orders placed with ourselves and provide the service of supplying the flower orders that our customers require. We also collect from our customers the names and addresses of the recipient of the order placed. Once the order placed has been delivered all details are destroyed.
When a customer places their order by telephone and pays with a Visa/Debit card we only keep this information for the period up to delivery. Then and only then is this information destroyed via a shredding machine. This is in case there is a need to refund the customer as we need their details to process this.
The Country Florist has always operated and always will operate a strict confidential policy regarding customer’s information. We will never share your details or order details with anyone other than you the customer unless directed to by you.
With regards to Funeral flowers, we deal with your chosen Funeral director and then and only then do we discuss your requirements with them. Should we get any request from customers outside your family group, we will always speak with you or direct them to the funeral director for advice.
When you choose The Country Florist as your Wedding florist we will inform you at the informal chat stage that we have in most cases have to discuss your wedding requirements with your chosen venue. This is a vital part of our service to you the customer. We need to book times to set up and dress your venue etc.
Our service is a confidential one and we will only discuss matters with you as a bride and groom and any other members of your family you give us permission to speak to. Our staff will always ask you for names of people within your group who we may need to deal with.
Our website now has the facility for customers to order and pay for their orders. Any information regarding these orders is not stored on our site and all payments are processed though an encrypted third party ie Retail merchant services and Paypal. We never save any payment information. We are PCI compliant here at the shop. You are able to message the shop through the website and we do not save the messages that are sent.
We operate a Facebook and Instagram page for the shop. This is in the public domain and the companies that run those sites operate a strict privacy policy. The content we publish is viewed by the general public and we have no control over the words written or opinions of individuals outside our staff. The Country Florist staff are requested to refrain from posting unless it has been agreed with the management first.

We will NEVER share or pass on any details of orders or their contents without the verbal permission from you the customer. Any breach of this should be reported to ourselves in the first instance and we will take appropriate action.
